On May 14, the Almaty Gallery hosted the world action "Night at the Museum" in honor of the International Museum Day, the correspondent of Art of Her reports.

Every year on May 18, the International Museum Day is celebrated all over the world, and the traditional "Night at the Museum" campaign is already being held. The State Gallery "Almaty Gallery" supported the worldwide action and on May 14 sent its viewers on a great journey through great art.

The gallery presented famous works of the best museums in the world: the Louvre Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, etc. The audience could enjoy reproductions of famous works by world artists in the original size.

"We support the popularization of art and culture. Some people have a negative attitude to reproduction, but for residents and guests of Almaty it is a good opportunity to see works of art from the best museums in the world in one place," said Ainura Abugalieva, art manager of Almaty Gallery.

As part of the campaign, an excursion was also held, in which visitors were introduced to the history of each of the paintings presented.

"We focus on the educational agenda of the campaign. Visitors can listen to lectures on the work of artists, take part in master classes on painting on fabric, see a "living" Van Gogh in Almaty," said Ainura Abugalieva, art Manager of Almaty Gallery.

The action "Night at the Museum" ended with a joint viewing of Tim Burton's film "Big Eyes" and a subsequent art discussion with student directors about the film.
