On April 23, the Almaty Gallery, which is gaining momentum, opened its doors again, this time to open the exhibition "Shymkent" of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Shymkent city.
You will be able to enjoy the works with your own eyes until May 8, until the originals are separated from our city and taken back to their small homeland in Shymkent, to the city, a curtsy and a declaration of love in whose direction this exhibition is.
And so, what surprised and remembered the artists of almost the hottest city?
The opening of the exhibition was held in a light informal atmosphere, but it was not as simple as it might seem at first glance, the audience gathered serious and sophisticated. Among the quiet, polite, simply and unobtrusively dressed people, one could easily find almost the entire main beau monde of cultural figures of our country and our era, these are people who are already inscribed in history or those who actually write it, which is understandable, because the exhibition has long been presented by well-known and venerable artists such as Bekenov Mukhtar, Ilaev Sultan, Muratbayev Abduahad.
Therefore, the person of Nasyrova Gulfeirus attracts all the more special attention to herself. She is not only the youngest, literally and professionally, participant of the exhibition and the group "TAMYR", but also the only representative of the beautiful half among the authors of this exhibition. Against the background of the heavyweights in the workshop, the young artist shone and became a real decoration of the exhibition. Pleasant, feminine, restrained and at the same time not clamped, very captivatingly impressive personality. But this, as we understand it, is not enough to be an artist.
Let's take a closer look at Nasyrova, or rather her work. Surely such a pearl could not have accidentally formed and immediately take off in one day, standing in a row with veterans? Here it's not just about architectural education, which of course is clearly deposited in the mentality of the artist, at least in her current works, whether this will be postponed by a red thread throughout her work or not, only time will tell. Regarding the artistic component itself, she was already born in this initially, she learned to think and perceive this world as an artist earlier than as a person, without realizing it, she was already educated in her natural environment. The artist's father, a famous sculptor, of course, could not help but influence (whether he wanted it or not) on her formation, that is why she was so organically mounted among other artists, nevertheless, I still resisted the temptation to study her father's work carefully in order to find his reflection in her works. I wanted to give her a separate place, her own raisins, so to speak, without separating her from her school.
Kazakh criticism in the world of art criticism has its own cultural peculiarities and subtleties, unlike Western or Russian, it has its own style of narration. The local mental peculiarity lies in the delicacy in dealing with the mood of the person listening, it is customary here to respectfully and carefully treat the mood and state of mind of the person with whom you are conducting a dialogue, as if you take responsibility for it yourself, these are the local rules, but without departing far from the intelligibility, usefulness, and your own opinion.
Today, art critic Mukazhanova Kulzhazira Zhumadilovna showed me the aerobatics of criticism of the Kazakh school on the example of Gulfeirus creativity. Naturally, she began by drawing my attention to the titanic and painstaking work of the girl, her work is really very scrupulous and requires self-control, a lot of time and patience. And the fact that there is a very good background of education behind the girl's back is beyond saying, therefore, from a compositional point of view, the works are also magnificent, a conscious approach to color, compliance with the concept of the exhibition is impeccable, and even individuality can be traced in the works. Along with the fact that she is a follower of her teachers, it is nevertheless clear that she is at least a product of her time, of her generation, has her own manner that distinguishes her from other artists of the exhibition. And along with the fact that these comments are true, Kulzhazira Zhumadilovna finally dropped an interesting phrase. She told the artist, "Then you can do something else, in a year it may seem something completely different to you, but the fact that you start like this today has great potential, you have your own style, and all the wealth of your school and colleagues with whom you are today you will continue to exhibit at a new level."
When you get into the halo of her work, you feel interest, some kind of impression, but not yet clear, I would say, is just going to be outlined and acquire clear outlines. Therefore, I think we have discovered a period of creativity in which, right before our eyes, the chick that has broken through the shell is now opening, we can see a very pretty beak, and who will hatch from there remains an intrigue.
Recently, there are fewer and fewer random people in the art world and it becomes interesting in the perspective of art, if we have this perspective, because compared to the generation of our fathers who went into the unknown boldly, thundered and flourished, their creative youth was brighter and everyone recognizes this.
More and more creative explosions in the artistic sphere are expected from our generation, this is what the TAMYR association says, and in my opinion, something very interesting is happening in the face of Gulfeirus on the horizon of contemporary art in Kazakhstan. It is worth paying attention to this, because lately I often hear from various artists that we need some kind of system or institution that would ensure the former vibrant life of the art of Kazakhstan.
And such communities as "TAMYR" are an attempt to create conditions for artists for themselves to close this need.
This is almost the most important thought that I came to after attending this event. These guys are worth remembering, perhaps something iconic and great is emerging right before our eyes, which will fit in or even turn art into a new direction.
