On the eve of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, the Pavlodar Regional Art Museum was filled with uncharacteristic sounds – melodies of songs and dances. Thus, representatives of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of Pavlodar region decided to congratulate the citizens, reports BaigeNews.kz.

The idea of a non-standard greeting, when representatives of the Assembly congratulate citizens on May Day against the background of paintings of the art museum, arose back in 2020.

"But the pandemic prevented us from implementing it. And only two years later we launched this project. Its idea is as follows: since May 1 is the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, we presented artists of different nationalities to the audience," says Olga Pashko, deputy head of the regional Art Museum.

There are 20 national centers in the regional Assembly, and the works of artists of all nationalities are present in museum collections. The museum staff selected them and came out with the initiative of a "live" postcard. It worked out for everyone and on the eve of the holiday the museum was filled with colors of national costumes, songs and dances.

All artistic numbers were recorded against the background of paintings by artists of one nationality or another. Then the installation, and on May 1, an unusual greeting appeared in social networks and on the LED screens of the city.

"The main idea of the initiative is to expand the cultural background, enrich the citizens with new knowledge about artists of different nationalities and supplement this with a cultural layer: music, dance, fine art," says Olga Pashko.
