The exhibition "Golden collection of museum funds" opened in Kostanay

The exhibition of famous artists "Golden Collection of Museum funds" has opened in the regional art gallery of Kostanay, Our Kostanay reports.

The works of the most famous artists who influenced the development of painting and art of Kazakhstan were selected for the exhibition. Among them: Abylkhan Kasteev, Nikolay Khludov, Georgy Sokov, Zhanatai Shardenov, Gani Bayan, Baki Urmanche, Alexander Shestakov and others. In total, 50 canvases are presented at the exhibition "Golden Collection of Museum Funds".

The first floor of the gallery houses the works of the first professional artist of Kazakhstan, Abylkhan Kasteev. "On the collective farm Jailau", "Medeo Neighborhood" and "Reading a Fairy Tale" allow you to literally touch the past, showing the landscape of Almaty and the life of people of the 1930s and 1940s. There was a place for the canvases of Nikolai Khludov, an artist from the times of the Russian Empire, the Soviet period and Kasteev's mentor.

Zhanatai Shardenov works in the so–called "three-dimensional painting" - the material protrudes almost half a centimeter from the canvas, creating volume. His works "In the Mountains", "Evening at Medeo" show the beauty of Almaty landscapes of the Soviet period.

On the second floor there are works "Red sunflowers", "Dry sunflowers" and "Portrait of A.I. Nikiforov" by Kostanay artist Georgy Sokov, for whom, by the way, this news was also a surprise.

"I love sunflowers very much, and I paint such still lifes almost every year. But I created a portrait of Alexander Ivanovich Nikiforov about twenty years ago. Of the authors of the submitted works, I personally met with many, for example, with Aitbayev. I even crossed paths with Kasteev once by chance," said Georgy Sokov.

The exhibition "Golden Collection of Museum Funds" will last until September 19, 2022.
