A personal exhibition of Hamza Kikimov dedicated to the anniversary date – the 75th anniversary of the master's birth has opened in Almaty Gallery, Art of Her reports.

"The unique palette of Autumn" is 40 works by an artist who is faithful to the only favorite theme in painting – the nature of his native land. In the paintings of Hamza Kikimov there is no photographicity, in them there is sincerity and a deep emotional mood. He is interested in rhythms and lines in nature, light and color.

"It is necessary to write not what you see, but what you feel," says the artist.

Hamza Kikimov is a representative of the school of realism, so landscapes and portraits predominate in his works. These works are characterized by openness, sincerity and a deep emotional mood that allows you to see the beauty and greatness of nature.

"This is a master who has the ability to combine simplicity and mystery, routine and unusual in his works. Hamza is a thoughtful, searching artist," the Almaty Gallery press release says.

The personal exhibition "The Unique Palette of Autumn" by Hamza Kikimov will last until August 30, 2022.

Hamza Kikimov was born on May 11, 1947 in the village of Evgenevka, Almaty region. He graduated from the N. V. Gogol Almaty Art College, studied with Boris Petrovich Pak, an outstanding artist of our time. then he graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai, art and graphic Faculty. Participant of exhibitions since 1961. He worked as an exhibition assistant at the Union of Artists of the Republic, as an artist-restorer at the T. Shevchenko Kazakh Art Gallery. He took an active part in the creation of the Almaty regional branch of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan. He taught at the Theater and Art Institute named after T. Zhurgenov, taught design at KazNPU named after Abai. In 2007, by invitation, he worked at the Hanshan Pedagogical University in China. H. Kikimov is the author of the coat of arms and flag of the Almaty region, the badge and medal "Honorary Citizen of the Almaty region", the Talda–Korgan coat of arms. He owns a sketch of the "Certificate of Honor of the Almaty region".

The artist's works are kept in many museums and private collections in Kazakhstan, Germany, Austria, USA, etc.
