Onermen Kezdesy: how was the second meeting of artists with creative industry experts

The second open meeting of artists and experts of the creative industry "Onermen Kezdesy" was held at the A. Kasteev State Museum of Art, the correspondent of Art of Her reports.

Experts and participants of the open meeting shared their experience and opinions on the topic "The future of the creative industry of Kazakhstan: how to stop being "incomprehensible" and go for export".

The creative industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. The share of creative entrepreneurship in the GDP of some countries reaches 10%, which undoubtedly indicates the potential of the sphere.

Over the past 10 years in Kazakhstan, the volume of investments in the creative industry has increased more than 4 times. 3.5% of the total employed population of the country, or 310 thousand Kazakhstanis, work in this area. Today, the contribution of creative industries to the economy of Kazakhstan is 2.7%.

In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "Kazakhturism" Kairat Sadvakasov noted the high role of art in the development of tourism in Kazakhstan, and also shared the developed program to support and develop the creative industry in the country.

"It was a pleasure to participate in such an event. We always expect initiatives when artists and creators themselves unite and invite to perform at such venues. It was nice to see that there is interest in the creative industry. I think that the call that I voiced here, that we need proposals from the creators, has been heard. I am also glad that cooperation is planned between us and Art of Her for the development of the creative industry in the country," said Kairat Sadvakasov.

Irina Kharitonova, member of the Council for the Development of Creative Industries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries, ideologist of the Global Nomads Fashion Awards project, spoke about the high potential of the creative industry of Kazakhstan and opportunities for export to international markets, and also shared future trends in the industry for 2022-2023. In addition, Irina Kharitonova shared the prospects of the metaverse for creative people.

"I hope that this will really give some kind of impetus for reflection. The site is awesome, I am sure that it needs to be expanded, scaled, I want to organize similar meetings in Nur-Sultan and Karaganda in partnership with Art of Her," Irina Kharitonova shared her impressions.

Evgeny Khobotov, founder of Slon Works, Elin.app of the Kazakhstan NFT marketplace NFT ART Store, concluded the open meeting with the theme "Art to sell Art". A specialist in the field of NFT shared his experience of entering a new art market, told about future opportunities and future plans of the company to promote local artists in the NFT market.

In total, about 100 people participated in the "Onermen Kezdesy" meeting, and according to the founder of the Art of Her project, Leila Zhaksybek, such meetings are of great benefit to all artists.

"I want the whole world to know about our talented artists. That is why the Art of Her project was created and such open meetings were organized. We have something to surprise even the most sophisticated audience. We have already done a lot of work, but we don't stop there. There are still many useful and important meetings ahead with experts not only from Kazakhstan," Leyla Zhaksybek said.

The team of the Art of Her media portal has already started work on preparing for the next meeting of "Onermen Kezdesy", which will be held at the state art Gallery Almaty Gallery.
