The prize is considered the most influential award in France in the field of contemporary art.
Claude Bonnin, president of the Association for the International Dissemination of French Art (ADIAF), announced four nominees for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2022. These are Giulia Andreani, Ivan Argote, Philippe Decroza and Mimosa Echard.
Equivalent to the British Turner Prize, the award is presented annually to an artist from France or based in France and includes a cash prize of 35,000 euros. The new works of the four finalists will also be presented at the collective exhibition at the Pompidou Center in Paris from October 4, 2022. The winner will be selected by an international jury and announced on October 17 at the Paris annual Contemporary Art Fair.
