How Nauryz was celebrated in Almaty?

For the first time in 2 years since the start of pandemic, residents of Almaty were allowed to arrange large folk festivals in honor of the celebration of Nauryz, - the correspondent of Art of Her reports.

The main festivities on the holiday were held on Astana Square, Panfilov, and Zhibek Zholy pedestrian streets. At this precise location the residents of Almaty could enjoy the wonderful music program with our famous singers and groups: Roza Rymbayeva, Ali Okapov, Zhamilya Serkebayeva, Diana Sharapova, the MuzART and KeshYou groups.

On the pedestrian streets of Panfilov and Zhibek Zholy, artisans' fair shops, various installations about Kazakh life and culture, a special ring for national competitions, theatrical performances, and fun contests were placed.

Almaty residents celebrated the ancient Nauryz holiday on a large scale. However, it is not surprising that after 2 years of strict restrictions citizens were able to return to their usual celebration and lifestyle for the first time.
