To create the image, the Rijksmuseum team used 8,439 individual photographs, which were connected by artificial intelligence. From computer and cell phone screens, the Dutch masterpiece can now be viewed in great detail. According to the Rijksmuseum, this is "the largest and most detailed photograph of a work of art ever taken." The final image file is 5.6 terabytes in size and the resolution of the digital copy is 717 gigapixels, or 717 billion pixels.
