Recently, at a meeting with the residents of Aktobe, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev announced the establishment of the UMAI Award, which is aimed at supporting the creative achievements of cultural figures, Art of Her reports.
The total prize fund of the National Award will amount to 54 million tenge.
The prize is awarded in four areas: theatrical art, musical art, choreographic art, fine and decorative arts in 19 nominations. The winners of each nomination will receive two 2 million tenge, and 10 million tenge will be received by the winners in the nominations "Best Musical and Dramatic Performance" and "Best Ballet Performance".
