The A. Kasteev Museum of Art has opened a personal exhibition "Tugan El" by the famous artist and teacher Baurzhan Baydilda, the correspondent of Art of Her reports.
The exhibition "Tugan el" is about 80 works of art made in painting and graphics, dedicated to the picturesque landscapes of the nature of Kazakhstan, as well as portraits of outstanding figures of national history and culture.
The artist's style tends to academic clarity of composition and form. His works are imbued with Renaissance enlightenment and are aimed at the romantic realization of national themes.
"I always tell my colleagues: you avoid the environment that educates the artist. In the Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov, in this environment, I found myself. There I was formed as an artist and teacher. There are great specialists there who influence the creative development of artists, but it is still important to preserve and convey their individuality," said Baurzhan Baydilda.
In her works, Baydilda depicts various corners of her native land, each of which has its own color scheme. In the paintings depicting the Charyn Gorge, the author conveys the scale of its almost lunar landscape, uses a wide range of brown and burgundy shades.
The heroes of the artist's portrait works were such outstanding personalities of national history and culture as T. Zhurgenov, B. Momyshuly, N. Nusupzhanov, H. Nauryzbayev, M. Kenbayev, K. Telzhanov, E. Sergebaev, etc. In these works, the expressive imagery of the characters is combined with the brightness of the color scheme of the canvases.
"He manages to convey the personality and psychology of a person in portraits. They are valuable not only for their picturesque quality, but also for their memoriality. They depict the masters of Kazakh art. They have already left, but there are almost no pictorial portraits of them. It's very touching," art critic Maria Zhumagulova shared.
In his work, Baurzhan Baydilda is close to the representatives of the romantic trend of the national painting school of the 1950s. The artist is a representative of a new generation of masters of fine arts of Kazakhstan, in whose works spiritual continuity with the classical art of the past is combined with the desire to translate the ideals of the modern era in vivid images.
