The works of the convicts were evaluated by Shavkat Ismailov, a member of the Coordinating Council of the European Creative Guild, and Kulmayram Zharalgasova, a painter, a member of the Artists of Kazakhstan Union.
"Holding such events has a great potential. This is not only a simple participation of the convicted person in the competition, but also an opportunity seeking to find a hidden talent in them. In our practice, there are already cases when convicts participated in various platforms and auctions, thus found new ways of earning money and perform their talents," said Bibigul Munaytpasova, head of the Department of the CPES.
According to the CPES, the auction on the Mintable NFT marketplace will last only a week. The starting price of one painting is 0.1 ETH (around $414).
In case of sold artworks of participants, the raised money will be donated to charity.
An NFT token (non—interchangeable token) is a unique digital certificate that is stored in the blockchain and guarantees the originality of the item.
