In honor of the International Children's Day, on June 4, Almaty Gallery and the Art of Her media portal held a joint masterclass.
In the main hall of the Almaty Gallery, an exhibition of paintings by Korean artist Kim Busik "The Light of Korean Painting" was held, where he shared the secrets of traditional Korean painting and draw a great artwork in front of the master class participants. Interestingly, traditional Korean artists never make mistakes, their first stroke is the correct and ideal form of the drawing.
“The most important thing in traditional Korean painting is ink, thin brush and conciseness of color,” - said Kim Busik.
In the other part of the hall, a master class was held by the artist Rosa Beksultanova on monotype. Rose actively supports the media portal Art of Her, and recently an interview with her was released on YouTube channel.
“I am glad that I was invited today as an artist. I specialize as a drawing teacher for children. Monotype is a drawing technique, Greek word that means «one print». This is not a traditional painting technique, but often used in art therapy not only for children, but also for adults”, - shared Roza Beksultanova.
Moreover, an exhibition of family and children’s photos by Darya Lapina «Under the Blue Sky» was showcased at Almaty Gallery.
“It was the gallery's idea to make an exhibition in honor of Children's Day. Family and children photography is my favorite genre because children do not need to be directed. They are in their own flow, and you just need to observe them. I enjoy looking at the world through the eyes of children,” said Daria Lapina.
The media portal Art of Her is actively extending beyond the online format and continues to organize educational events in Almaty. A lecture was held with experts of the art community Ónermen Kezdesý in May.
Kim Busik's exhibition of traditional Korean painting "The Light of Korean Painting" and Daria Lapina's photo exhibition "Under the Blue Sky" will run until June 14.
