One of the first art galleries "HAS SANAT" has been operating in the capital for almost 20 years.
The main activity of the gallery is aimed at familiarizing residents of the capital and its guests with the unique creations of different generations of artists of Kazakhstan and other countries, holding presentations in our country and abroad. Art lovers are presented with diverse collections of different types of fine art: painting, graphics, sculpture and tapestry. The gallery also hosts the sale of works of fine art.
Impressionism
The Art Gallery has several halls. The very first one is large, it hosts the main exhibitions. Now there is an exhibition of reproductions of Impressionist Claude Monet “Claude Monet. The genius of Impressionism.” The paintings were provided by a private organization from Moscow and number 60 canvases. As the curators of the exhibition explain, this is a unique case when you can see the work of a famous impressionist in full in one place.
“ If you look in reality, you will never be able to see his real works in such quantity in your life, because they are stored in different places, countries. This exhibition gives people at least a visual view of Monet's paintings. The focus here is on the tour so that people, especially young people, learn a lot about this wonderful artist,” said Almagul Malikova, PR and art manager of the HAS SANAT Gallery..
This is not the first exhibition of reproductions by world artists in the HAS SANAT Gallery. Previously, exhibitions of paintings by Van Gogh and Gustav Klimt were sold out here.
“ Visitors have long noted for themselves that in this space they have the opportunity to touch the world's masterpieces and see with their own eyes the work of artists such as Van Gon and Monet. It's better than looking at small pictures from a phone or computer screen,” said Almagul Malikova, PR and art manager of the HAS SANAT gallery.
Residents of the capital can purchase a ticket and get a free tour, where they will be introduced not only to the periods of life and stages of the famous Frenchman's work, but also tell about the meaning of a particular painting. Visitors can also purchase miniature copies of Claude Monet's masterpieces.
Kazakh masters
The next small hall, in which the main exposition is presented, includes paintings by famous Kazakhstani artists, including works by Ersain Abdrakhmanov and Eduard Kazaryan. Also in the same hall you can see sculptures and engravings by Japanese masters. All the works of fine art that are presented here, visitors to the gallery can not only see, but also purchase for themselves.
Next to this hall is the last space, in which paintings by Kazakhstani artists are also exhibited. Since 2012, two Salons have been held in all three exhibition spaces — in spring and autumn. Young Kazakhstani artists are exhibited at the Spring Salon, thereby opening new names in art and supporting the development of emerging talents. The Autumn Salon has already been presented by eminent masters, for whom a certain theme is offered.
“ We are opening the doors of our gallery to young artists so that they have the opportunity to show their creativity. This is a great success among visitors,” commented Almagul Malikova, PR and art manager of the HAS SANAT Gallery. .
The Altyn Gasyr Project
One of the most significant projects of the HAS SANAT Art Gallery is a traveling exhibition of contemporary Kazakhstani artists "Altyn Gasyr". The purpose of the exhibition is to acquaint residents of foreign countries with the art and culture of Kazakhstan. In 2006, the exhibition started from the city of Moscow in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege". Further, the paintings were exhibited at the State Museum of Oriental Art, as well as at the Central House of Artists of Russia and were a great success. In June 2007, the exhibition continued its journey and was further presented in the capitals of more than ten countries of the Eurasian space. For 15 years, the collection has visited Poland, Germany, Holland on the route: Warsaw – Wroclaw Berlin – Stuttgart – Munich – Frankfurt – Amsterdam – Eindhoven. In the East, the international project "Altyn Gasyr" was exhibited in Turkey, South Korea and Iran. Along the way, 69 works were presented at the exhibition, to which the audience showed great interest.
To date, the mobile collection of the HAS SANAT Art Gallery includes hundreds of works by contemporary artists in various genres and directions, from realism to avant-garde and modern installations or bold experiments on the theme of ethnosymbolism. There are among these artists the names of masters and young masters of the brush and chisel. The collection is particularly proud of the works of Abdrashit Sydyhanov, Amandos Akanaev, Erlan Aituarov, Mazhit Baitenov, Elena Beisembinova, Vladimir Gvozdev (Shege) and others. At each stage, the exhibition was supported by embassies and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad.
The stormy activity of the gallery does not stop and a new exhibition will open in the fall. The works of the famous Almaty artist Vladimir Gvozdev, better known as Shege, will come to visit HAS SANAT. His works made in the style of ethnosymbolism will reflect the changes in the artist's work in the Moscow and Almaty periods.
