Aspan Gallery

Aspan Gallery - is a contemporary art gallery located in Almaty (Kazakhstan). The gallery's task is to represent the interests and support of Central Asian artists - to hold exhibitions, prepare publications, and arrange educational programs and residencies.

In 2015, the gallery together with the Museum of Art named by A. Kasteev initiated a series of solo exhibitions of contemporary artists from Central Asian region. Most of them are practically unknown in their homeland, despite the fact that they have received high international recognition from international experts and art institutions.

Aspan Gallery creates a platform for the development of art processes in Central Asia and promotes a broad understanding of contemporary art. The organisers believe that art can develop critical and creative thinking and thereby make society more open.
